Staff Sergeant FOX Grant
• 750K for 3 years (2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025)
• MULTIPLE Programs to provide services to our local Veterans
• Consultant specializing in Hydroponics growing techniques
• Materials provided to a Veteran who completed the Food Security Program
• 40/30 feet metal-framed greenhouses
• Main hydroponic system with filtration machinery, assorted seeds (6 months lifespans)
• Growing tubs, construction items (cement, lumber, etc. to build the base for the Green Houses, for the platforms for the growing trays with tubs, tool kits for students (shovels, measuring cups, gloves, hats, etc.)
• Hydroponic nutrients, fertilizer and shade covering for the greenhouses and ground cover.
ARPA
• $182,000 for Building renovations, expansion to better serve our local Veterans population
• Repairs of kitchen area, flooring, roofing, storage area, etc.
• Purchase computers to create accessibility to Internet and other Veterans resources via online
TAP Grant
$74,800 to create a Living Museum showcasing actual dwellings that were used during WW II. (Bunker and Pillbox guard post). public can visually experience life during WW II, include outfitting the guard houses to have specialized viewing equipment that will show videos during WW II and archived photos of live operations during this military period.

• 4 Ping-Pong tables and accessories
• 2 -fooze ball tables
• 4 square tables with 8 chairs to play chess, checkers, and other board games

3. Non-traditional therapeutic program for qualified Veterans
• 6-week course (3 days a week for 4 hours each)
• Training class will include both theory of the working in a call center and hands on scenarios to help any individual understand the components in working within a Call Center
4. Approximately 4,000 Veterans are registered with our local Veterans Affairs Office
5. ASG Veterans Affairs Office Samoa Outreach
The Veterans Affairs office held an outreach in Apia, Samoa to register U.S Military veterans. A total of 89 U.S. Samoan Veterans that are currently residing in Apia. The purpose is to strengthen our connections with our U.S. Samoan Veterans in Apia by sharing services that are available to them.
6. First Townhall Meeting hosted by the ASG Veterans Affairs Office - March 20, 2024
Opportunity for our Veterans to voice their concerns, frustrations, their needs as Veterans. Opportunity were also given to our Partners to prepare a presentation on the services that they are providing to our local Veterans. Opportunity was also give to the V.A Center to hear the concerns regarding the Veterans claims or benefits
7. Cemetery for Veterans
One of the goals of the Veterans Office is to build a cemetery for our Veterans here in American Samoa to provide a place for solace and reflection, comfort and connection, and to remember and honor the service of our loved ones who served in the military.
